"Cyberspace" (kyle baker)

This article really made me think because as much as you want to deny it cyberspace really exists. This gives a person a more in depth look at a specific example of how technology is becoming a growing medium. Chat rooms for example don't actually allow the user to sit and talk to an individual at a single location but "cyberspace" is more of a label for the way we talk to people. It should never be considered a geographical place because it's not. You're not actually able to get up and walk around but cyberspace allows users of the internet to voice their opinions on an open medium where anyone can look at it. I also never looked into how they give you a shopping cart on websites and treat it as if it were a real transaction in person. This form of medium to purchase items allows a user to do many things impersonally because you're no longer able to talk to a person. The video game aspect taking a look into virtual worlds is crazy to think about. My roomate just purchased a game called Fable 3 where you can have a real life. You are practically able to do anything from marry a women to have children and become a king. I believe these video games are distracting people especially young kids out of ordinary life.
